West Papua (AP) – The Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for Jayapura office is ready to build some houses for Papuan residents in Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, Papua. The type 45 housing construction budget has been preparing through the 2020 Special Autonomy Fund.
Based on the budget, at least 10 housing units are ready to be built located in Skouw Yambe, Skouw Mabo, Skouw Sae, Mosso Village, and Holtekamp Village. it measn each village will receive two housing units or for two households. For each housing unit has a budget of approximately 200 million rupiahs.
Head of the Housing and Settlement Area of the Jayapura City Office, Alimuddin said there are two requirements that have to be fulfilled, including administrative and technical requirements. Administrative requirements such as letters of request for assistance that must go through the regional government and address for the Ministry of PUPR. Proposals are containing the general description of beneficiaries, land location where a house to be built, access to roads, water, electricity, and the number of housing need and proposal for assistance and support letters from the provincial and city governments.
The Secretary of Kampung Skouw Yambe, Muara Tami District, Jayapura-Papua City, Christian Samalo, states that he immediately has coordinated with the village heads to double check the name of the beneficiaries, so it will be properly distributed.
